Born and raised in Modena, he approached the world of cooking thanks to the figure of his grandmother Ancella.

Training of excellence first deepening the french cuisine with George Cogny and Alain Ducasse and then moving to New York.

Back in Italy he bought a traditional trattoria in the heart of the city of Modena, L'Osteria Francescana.

He draws inspiration from the world around him, from art to music, from good food to fast cars.
